Purpose of the Role: As the Brand & Product Communications Writer, you will be the essential link between product and marketing, ensuring collections land with energy and clarity. Sitting in the editorial team and reporting to the Brand Editor, you’ll collaborate closely with marketing, VM and the People team to ensure that Moss colleagues are informed and engaged throughout the journey of campaigns and product launches. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of information across teams, from early product previews to instore presentation and a cohesive story across all communication channels. By working closely with the buying and merchandising teams, you’ll develop a deep understanding of collections, range scopes, product drops and timings. You’ll cascade this knowledge effectively across the business to enhance internal engagement and customer-facing communications. Key Responsibilities: Creating clear and inspiring product guidelines that capture key USPs and brand hooks for our store teams and other internal departments. Communicating key trends and seasonal directions to set our store teams up to serve our customers with expertise and enthusiasm. Writing newsworthy, on-brand marketing materials to announce campaigns, product launches and company milestones to press and other external partners. Translating operational goals and visual strategies into clear directives for store teams to achieve best practice and VM consistency across the business. Helping to refine the process of aligning our commercial and editorial output. Taking part in content planning sessions to help run editorial concepts through to store teams and influence customer-facing comms with insights from stores. Thinking about how communications amplify our customer experience, brand positioning and commerciality. Being a shining example of our TOV and embedding it internally so our voice carries through to our instore experience. What You’ll Need to Succeed: Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint Excellent writing skills, able to deliver clear, engaging copy and to edit your own work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Adobe Suite is a bonus. A portfolio showcasing your writing style and copy tailored for various audiences. About You: 3-5 years’ experience in a writing or communications role, ideally within retail or fashion. A genuine interest in fashion and the ability to translate trends into actionable insights. A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work seamlessly across different teams. Knowledge of menswear and tailoring is advantageous but not essential – expertise will be available from colleagues. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Driven to enhance the customer journey through impactful communication.
