We have an opening for a Tea Time Cook at Copperdown Residential Care Home. Usual shift pattern is working 3-7pm 5 days a week including weekends.
Copperdown Residenital Home is a small privately run home were we cater for 29 clients and all different dietary requirements for example wheat intolerance, diabetic diets, soft food options etc. The needs of our residents and the care and service we provide is paramount.
Experience in cooking foods and preparing sandwiches, baking cakes etc is preferred along side a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serving hot or cold food to service users at tea time.
Serving preferred hot drinks/cold drinks
Ensuring all meals are delivered to service users who wish to remain in their rooms.
Collection of crockery from all rooms.
Washing of all crockery and cooking utensils and ensuring kitchen is clean and tidy.
Ensuring dining room is vacuumed after tea.
Ensuring evening drinks are made at 6.30pm for service users.
Following effective and safe working infection control measures, adhering to all government guidelines in the wearing of PPE and regular LFT and PCR testing.
Observing safe working practices and obeying all Environmental Health and Health and Safety requirements.
Ensuring the efficient use of consumables and to minimise waste.
Effective stock control essential.
Obeying the fire orders of the home.
Reporting any defects, deficiencies or safety hazards to the Senior Care on duty.
Undertaking other duties as required from time to time by the Senior Care on duty.
