The role sits within a busy finance team of 14 and reports to the FP&A Manager, providing financial support to the project management team and assisting the management accounts team RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE… Management of project invoicing, billing, credit control Oversight of department expenses per project Regularly updating project cashflow reports Leading capacity planner meetings with Project Managers in each department on a monthly basis Updating project revenue recognition document for review Prepare month-end revenue and deferred income related management accounting reports Prepare analysis of days estimated on completion versus budgeted and reforecast on a monthly basis for each project Monthly project P&L reports for each project Analysis of costs on a regular basis comparing to project budgets, with reforecasting where necessary Calculate the cost of new business opportunities based on staff resourcing schedules Prepare project fee and margin comparison documents for to appraise new business opportunities. CANDIDATE PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in a project focussed finance role is beneficial Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills Knowledge of Deltek would be an advantage Strong knowledge of UK VAT rules essential Knowledge of European VAT rules advantageous Ability to build relationships and work with differing levels of seniority Good commercial awareness Inquisitive and investigative mind-set Proactive mindset is essential HOURS & BENEFITS Working hours are 09:30-17:30 Monday to Friday.
