EnViva, part of the Sonderwell Group are looking for Complex Care Assistants in the Pocklington area.
We provide the highest quality complex care at home to clients by employing the best possible staff to provide that care. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is here to help and support our clients to live life as they choose, in their own homes and empowering people to live as independently as possible.
When I was around a year old, I had multiple unexplained strokes which have had a big impact on my life and as a result I now need extra support. Due to my condition, I am unable to eat or drink orally, and I require all my nutrition and medications to be given through a tube in my nose which goes down to my tummy. Since becoming unwell, I have regular seizures and my body becomes stiff due to something called dystonia. I require a lot of medications to help with these and to keep me comfortable.
I like to listen to music as this helps to relax me and I love when people sing along. I also like sensory play, such as looking at lights and feeling different textures. I like to go on walks to explore different places and be outside in the fresh air.
We would love to welcome new carers who can bring a positive and calming energy to our team, but would like someone who is very reliable and has good knowledge of my care needs to help me with my daily cares.
We are looking for someone with the following experience, but would be happy to train the right person for the role:
