About The Role
Joining our People and Workplace Team, you'll support our charity's staff, volunteers, and service users. This is a part time role for 22.5 hours per week (37.5 full time equivalent). The role is based at Leatherhead Court, in Leatherhead, Surrey but would require the role holder to travel at various locations as required.
Workplace attendance is required all 3 days; this is not a hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities Include
1. Acting as the Responsible Person for legal compliance with HSE and CQC regulations.
2. Collaborating with the Head of HR and the external consultant to set and monitor annual health and safety goals.
3. Overseeing risk assessments, safe working procedures, and the charity's safety management system.
4. Conducting workplace inspections and dynamic risk assessments (e.g., health, food, and fire safety).
5. Building effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure safety protocols are met.
6. Compiling and presenting data for the Health and Safety Group and Care Quality Committee.
About You
You're passionate about health and safety, aligned with QEF's values, and committed to Equality & Diversity. You also have:
1. A NEBOSH National General Certificate (or are working toward a NEBOSH Diploma).
2. Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
3. Flexibility to occasionally work unsociable hours and attend multiple sites across South London, Surrey, and Kent.
4. A current driving licence.
