The Community Child Health team are looking for a Clinic Support Worker to join our friendly team. This is a high profile and varied role that is integral to the daily running of the department and the support they give to our Clinicians ensuring the best possible patient experience. The ideal candidate will be diligent, motivated and attentive with experience of managing their own workload and be a team player.

Main duties of the job
1. Provide support to children/families attending paediatric appointments.
2. Provide support to the clinical staff with routine clerical duties and assisting with the effective administration of the clinic.
3. Undertake training and be competent in heighting and weighting children.
4. Provide cross cover with other Clinic Support Workers during times of annual leave and sickness - travel to other sites within the Trust.
5. Comply with national and local infection control policies and procedures and any other related infection prevention policies or procedures.
6. Adhere to and implement the Trust policy in relation to Safeguarding Children / Looked after Children.
7. Provide admin cover as and when required and directed by the Office Manager, answering the telephone, distributing post.
8. Administrate, as appropriate, any internal or external transfers including collection and copying of notes and documentation etc.
9. Utilise keyboard skills and computer understanding, inputting attendance and discharge details on PAS, booking and caching up clinics - full training will be given for this.
10. Attend in house and external training relevant to the role, as directed by the Office Manager.
11. Maintain patient records appropriately, ensuring an up-to-date record is maintained of all case notes returned from clinics and all case notes dispatched to other departments or hospitals.

Qualifications
* GCSE level grade A-C in English/Maths or equivalent Qualifications
* Computer literate including Word and Excel
* IT Qualification
* Care Certificate - will be expected to obtain qualification within 3 months
Skills
* Ability to remain calm in a busy environment whilst working under pressure. Excellent organisational skills.
* Recent experience of working in a healthcare environment and with children.
* Previous NHS experience
* Awareness of GDPR
