Job Description
Self-starting Lighting Controls Field Service Technician capable of delivering superior customer service experience while performing system startup, troubleshooting and end user training for lighting control systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
* Performs onsite lighting control system startup, troubleshooting and end user training.
* Review project documentation and specifications and control scheme including sequence of operation to ensure system installations match the plans and meet the end user's expectations.
* Work with integration technicians, building owners, building managers, and contractors to address any technical issues with lighting control integration, and function.
* Properly document and track all project information to drive to a successful completion in a timely manner.
* Work independently outside of the office 90% of the time.
* Manage RMA/Warranty process.
* Coordinate product installation on site.
* Additional miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
* Understanding of basic electrical components (relays, drivers, ballasts).
* Understand and keep up to date with Building code requirements.
* Performs onsite troubleshooting by way of being a critical thinker and utilizing problem-solving skills.
* Superb customer service, communication (both written and oral), and self-management skills.
* Good organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
* Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts.
* Operate vehicle in a safe manner.
* Team player.
* Awareness of chemical, health and safety issues.
* Ability to work safely on a dynamic working construction site.
* Two years’ experience.
* Associates Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent.
GENERAL:
* Active construction site environment.
* Full time 40+ hours.
* Flexible start time and location.
* Expected days on construction sites is 90%.
* Expected overnight travel of less than 10%.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and lift 30lbs.
* Ability to use a screw driver, cable crimper and electrical test equipment.

* Hard hat.
* Safety vest.
* Steel toe boots.
* Gloves.
* Safety glasses.
* Ear plugs.
