Sewell Wallis are working exclusively with a well known business on the outskirts of Rochdale who are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their regional team.
You will be a qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA/ACCA/ACA, with a strong background in budgeting and forecasting.
What will you be doing?
1. Taking ownership of the day-to-day financial control.
2. Leading the annual budgets and forecasts.
3. Ensuring all GDPR policies are adhered to.
4. MI reporting.
5. Ensuring weekly and period reporting is accurate and on time.
6. Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
7. Ensuring relevant financial policies are applied, financial records are accurate, budgets and forecasts are accurately completed regarding underlying operating assumptions.
8. Leading, developing and motivating a small team.
9. Support the management team by providing regular information relating to performance and budgets.
10. Support the Commercial Manager with ad-hoc requests and contract-wide reporting when necessary.
11. Being accountable and can articulate all the accruals and prepayments on the balance sheet.
What skills are we looking for?
1. Fully qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACCA / ACA.
2. Solid budgeting and forecasting experience.
3. Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
4. Be proactive, inquisitive and the ability to challenge teams to drive performance.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure.
