Camphill Wakefield is a specialist college for young people with special educational needs and disabilities. We offer a provision for students aged 16 - 25 who have a current Education, Health and Care Plan and who are looking for a different approach to a mainstream College.
We are looking to expand our team and are looking to recruit Education Support Workers who can support our young adults by contributing to their educational, curriculum and social development, and participate in its delivery as a member of a coordinated team.
We offer:
* Full time – Term time - permanent roles – 8:30am – 16:30pm
* Annual Salary of £20,029.86 based on 37.5 hours per week, term time only. FTE £23,353.20

WHAT YOU WILL DO
* You will work in partnership with teaching staff to support students with their learning in classes.
* You will develop an understanding of the specific needs of the students to be supported considering the type of support involved.
* You will organise and undertake academic interventions with either individuals or groups of students to facilitate their educational development to enable their full potential to be reached.
* You will assist with the development of appropriate resources to support learning.
* You will assist students where appropriate in the proper use of learning aides and equipment and to ensure that they are available.
YOUR PROFILE
* You should have experience of working with young people in an education setting.
* You should hold a Level 2/ Level 3 Certificate/ Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a willingness to work towards.
* You should have knowledge of the SEND code of Practice.
* You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
