Overall Purpose of the Role
To carry out all cleaning duties as required by your line manager and in accordance with the work schedule for your area. You will perform these duties in a professional manner and strive to exceed customer expectations, never over promising or under delivering.
You will be working Monday to Friday between 07:30 to 14:00, 37.5 hours per week
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role
1. To ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with NHS cleaning standards or equivalent.
2. Dusting Low & High, vacuuming & washing down all areas
3. Cleaning of any glass partitions
4. Spot cleaning upholstery, curtains and carpets
5. Cleaning of offices
6. Cleaning of toilets, bathrooms, shower rooms and basins
7. Replenishment of all soaps, hand towels and toilet paper
8. Emptying and cleaning of waste bins
9. Cleaning of clinical areas
10. Cleaning of therapy rooms
11. Cleaning of corridors
12. Cleaning of bedrooms (where applicable)
13. Removal of curtains allowing trust staff to launder
14. To be courteous to staff, visitors, service users and team members.
15. To take responsibility for all consumables, equipment and machinery used.
16. To ensure you are present in your place of work at all times.
17. To develop a good knowledge of the unit you are working in to enable efficient working practices.
18. To understand the units working pattern so you do not conflict with the units daily working pattern.
19. To uphold the company core values at all times.
20. Attend all training courses as required by the company.
21. Comply with all company policies, procedures and training at all times.
22. Comply with uniform policy at all times to include plain, closed toe shoes.
23. Comply with the company social media policy at all times.
24. To maintain company, patient and client confidentiality at all times.
25. To carry out any other reasonable request from the company.
Experience
26. Cleaning experience within a healthcare environment desired but not essential as full training will be provided.
