Provide and develop the Counselling Service as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary prosthetic team and liaise with team members and other professionals (e.g. GPs, Psychologists) as required. Provide a Counselling Service for amputees, their families and carers attending the service to address a variety of complex issues such as post-traumatic stress, depression, phobias and adjustment to loss Advocate for the highest standards of psychological care being provided by the team regarding the individual needs of service users and the care pathway processes for the client group.
