Job Title: Operations Manager – Food Industry
Location: Stafford
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 48 hours per week (up to 60 hours during peak seasons)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations in a fast-paced food production environment based in Stafford. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing a motivated and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the production, warehouse, and supply chain operations to meet customer demands and company objectives.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency across all departments.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
* Manage and optimize scheduling to meet production deadlines, particularly during peak periods.
* Monitor and control budgets, resource allocation, and production costs.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to achieve business goals.
* Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving to enhance operational processes.
* Collaborate closely with other departments, including Quality Control, HR, and Procurement, to align operations with business needs.
* Handle crisis management and troubleshooting during production challenges.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in the food manufacturing or production industry.
* Strong understanding of food production processes, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
* Ability to manage a high-volume operation, including peaks of up to 60-hour work weeks.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in production planning and resource management.
