We are currently looking to recruit a Co-ordination Officer to work as part of a busy team, based at Waterton House to undertake the micro-commissioning of Community Based Services on behalf of Reablement Home Care Services, Social Workers and Social Care Managers.
Which will include; External Domiciliary Care Providers and Specialised Support Providers.
Overall Purpose of the Post:
To undertake the development, expansion and implementation of the community Care Services Co-ordination Unit.
To undertake the micro commissioning of community based services, maximising utilisation of resources and stabilising local markets in line with contractual arrangements.
To expand commissioning activity in line with Service Development Targets and Quality Standards.
To provide and develop Financial and Management Information to achieve effective budgetary control and monitor strategic commissioning objectives.
Responsibility for producing and validating weekly Payment Schedules for all approved Independent Sector providers of Home Care and Home based break services and Specialised Support Providers, facilitating timely invoice payments, budgetary control and strategic commissioning intelligence.
Provide regular, accurate and timely Budget monitoring information to senior managers, to inform forecasting for future provision costs and strategic commissioning planning.
To assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Service Development and Improvement Plans in relation to the Co-ordination service.
To develop and implement appropriate systems and procedures to support the co-ordination service.
To assist in the development and provision of public information to operational staff and service users on Community Care Services procured via the co-ordination service.
To liaise with operational staff regarding the operation of the co-ordination service.
Essential Requirements
4 GCSE’s including English & maths or equivalent
An understanding of community based social care services.
Extensive experience of budgetary control
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to use own initiative
An ability to work constructively and effectively across departmental and agency boundaries
Effective in team working
