We As the Post-16 Pastoral Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the wellbeing, personal development, and welfare of our Post 16 students. You will work closely with staff, students, and parents to promote a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that students are guided and supported throughout their Post 16 journey.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher who will:
lead and manage the pastoral care of Post 16 students, ensuring their academic and personal development.
liaise with parents, guardians, and external agencies as necessary to ensure students’ wellbeing is maintained.
monitor attendance, behaviour, and academic progress, offering guidance and support when needed.
organize and support extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities for Post 16 students.
contribute to the development of a positive Post 16 culture and ethos.
work closely with subject teachers and tutors to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
provide one-to-one mentoring and support for students to help them overcome personal and academic challenges.
coordinate interventions and support systems for students who may require additional help.
assist students in setting personal and academic goals, providing guidance, along with the Careers team, on course selection, university applications and career pathways.
