About the team: The Jigsaw team work as a part of a multidisciplinary service, which provides coordinated assessment, care planning and therapeutic intervention for children and young people with multiple and complex disabilities. aimed at supporting and facilitating children in their own homes. The Jigsaw team work as a part of a multidisciplinary service providing children and families with comprehensive assessments and interventions aimed at supporting and facilitating children in their own homes. About the role: You will need to be a qualified Occupational Therapist who is keen to work with children. The role is a flexible and hybrid full time role. You will need excellent time management and organisational skills to manage your own caseload with support from the team lead and from the wider team with regular supervision and reflective space. The role will require lone working visiting children and families in their own homes. This is a dynamic and interesting role in a friendly team that is keen to support your development, knowledge and skills. You will have access to training and development via the Southampton training and learning development forum. Key Responsibilities: Assessment and treatment plans for children within the remit of social services occupational therapy. Managing your own caseload effectively. Working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team with social workers, learning disability nurses and occupational therapists. Liaising with local authorities and healthcare providers. Support where appropriate with applications for housing adaptations. Assess and support with paediatric equipment. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Engage with families to support and educate them on therapy practices. Requirements Qualified Occupational Therapist. Excellent communication skills. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience working within local authority frameworks. Knowledge of paediatric equipment and housing adaptations. Based near Southampton.
