We are looking for enthusiastic Guest Experience Experts wanting to assist in ensuring all our guests have a wonderful stay at the world leading hospitality company Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. Located near famous landmarks such as the Spinnaker Tower, it has a range of amenities including: Cast Iron Bar & Grill, our signature restaurant and fitness centre.
The Portsmouth Marriott Hotel provides exceptional, personal, and friendly service whilst catering to a variety of guests.
As the Guest Experience Expert, you will:
1. Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.
2. Confidently handle all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
3. Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
4. Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
5. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
6. Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
7. Embrace the Marriott culture.
A Successful Guest Experience Expert is someone who:
1. Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
2. Has strong communication skills & interpersonal skills.
3. Possesses an excellent level of spoken and written English.
4. Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards; anticipates and addresses guests’ service needs; assists individuals with disabilities; thanks guests with genuine appreciation.
5. Is able to work independently and within a team.
6. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
7. Has a flexible approach to working hours including evenings, weekends & bank holidays.
