The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is a world-leading research organisation that provides independent, objective information on military, geopolitical and geo-economic developments that could lead to conflict. The IISS has offices in London, Berlin, Singapore, Manama and Washington DC.
The IISS is seeking to appoint a Digital Project Manager to take ownership of a strategic change project which will deliver technical and business change as part of our new Digital strategy. You will effectively be providing Project Management Office support for the implementation of the Digital strategy. In this role you will have responsibility for a number of project workstreams, developing requirements and business cases and managing projects through to completion.
Responsibilities
* Act as the project manager on a range of project workstreams to deliver our digital strategy. You will work with the business to define requirements and manage the development and launch of these products.
* Work with senior stakeholders to define the strategic business requirements and manage the development of a business case.
* Coordinate and administer overall project governance, steering groups, and project meetings.
Requirements
* Experience of working with stakeholders to define business requirements for digital products.
* Be technically aware, with familiarity in digital development technologies, including content management systems and development languages.
* Be familiar with best practices in the digital landscape, including usability, design, security, development, and project management.
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects through the entire lifecycle of digital development from information architecture to prototyping, user testing, internal testing, and bug-fixing.
* Experience of documenting business requirements for external tendering.
* Experience of working with external development partners to drive high quality delivery on time and to budget.
* Highly organised with experience of producing meeting minutes and agendas for C Level executives.
* The role will require a broad range of skills and whilst strong technical awareness is essential, the role does not require programming experience and is more likely to suit project managers, business analysts, or product owners.
* Creative and innovative approach to work, with ability to track and implement latest thinking, technology, and best practice to complement and promote the IISS’ values and objectives.
