Band 2 Stores Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 Stores Assistant to join our Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at Frimley Park Hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in stock ordering, e-procurement, and storage maintenance.
Our AMU is a 42-bed unit that provides care for patients with various medical conditions. We take pride in maintaining the highest professional standards and ensuring efficient storage facility management. In this role, you will support the team by ensuring a well-organized, clean, and fully stocked environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management– Ordering and restocking supplies, including medical equipment and ECG machines.
Storage & Maintenance– Keeping storage areas, medical trolleys, and clinical cupboards clean and organized.
Facility Support– Reporting maintenance issues to the Estates department.
Job Details:
Part-time role: 22.5 hours per week (7.5 hours/day)
Working days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (including bank holidays)

To ensure all patients and visitors are treated in a polite and considerate manner and receive prompt attention when required.
• Should be aware of own levels of competence and at no time attempt tasks beyond their ability
• Be aware of their responsibilities regarding health and safety in all aspects of their work areas: i.e., COSHH, manual handling etc.
• Participate in audits related to ward cleanliness and storage.
• To adhere to the Hospital policy in relation to patient confidentiality, and respect patients’ rights and dignity at all times.
• To report any accidents and/or incidents occurring to patients, visitors, and staff, including to oneself, to the nurse in charge at the time of the incident.
• To be aware of the procedure to follow in case of fire.
• To ensure the hospital security policy is adhered to and that suspicious circumstances/ individuals/ packages are reported immediately to the nurse in charge.
• The post holder should not become involved in any financial matters with or on behalf of patients/ relatives or department.
• To understand the importance of utilising resources, ensuring effective communication (verbal and written) in the event of loaning out equipment.
• To ensure the ward stock is maintained.
• To follow the principles of stock control and expiration.
• To ensure the department is safely stocked of medical equipment
• To ensure the medical devices and equipment are maintained in a clean manner
