Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Salary: G5 Scp 009-027 (£26,409-£30,060) pro-rata to hours worked
Location: St James Primary School
Start date: as soon as possible
Hours: 17.5 per week (8.45-12.15pm) plus overtime if interested

Purpose of the job:
* To work across KS1 and/or KS2 under the instruction and guidance of teaching/senior staff to implement learning activities with individuals/groups of children, in or out of the classroom.
* To support high quality teaching and learning through involvement in planning, preparation and assessment.
* To provide social and emotional support to individual/small groups of children – school will fund ELSA training for appointed members of staff delivering these sessions.
Essentially, you will:
* Have at least NVQ Level 3 in teaching assistance or equivalent.
* Have good, personal literacy/numeracy skills (GCSE English and mathematics or equivalent).
Ideally, you will:
* Have training in/experience of teaching Read, Write Inc (Phonics) to small groups of pupils.
