Role: Senior Network Engineer Working Arrangements: Hybrid Working
Office Location: To assist in the effective and secure operation of the organisation's IT networks, implementing changes and enhancements as directed and required.
Proficiency in networking concepts at all levels of the OSI 7-layer model, especially in relation to the IP protocol stack
Knowledge of modern structured cabling standards and their implementation
Practical understanding of network application protocols such as DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SIP and others
Manage and implement IT infrastructure installation and network provisioning projects as directed, liaising as required.
Ensure that new data network installations conform to the organisations formal technical specifications.
Co-manage the stock of both active and passive components for the data network and related infrastructure, ensuring that these are deployed and replenished appropriately within budget.
Assist in the management and operation of the network, maintaining levels of high availability and performance in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.
Develop and administer the active network equipment, network security systems and network service systems, implementing agreed changes.
Assist in setting the strategy, design and the implementation of modifications to, and enhancements of the extent and configuration of the organisations IT networks.
40,247 starting salary with annual pay reviews.
