SEN Teaching Assistant Are you an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? U-Educate are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for schools in Southampton. We have a high demand for these roles with start dates ranging between October Half Term and January 2025. Job Description Supervision of students on a 1:1 or small group basis Provide additional learning support as identified Support may involve personal care Supporting SEN and SEMH Needs Engage, motivate and encourage students to complete work set Make sure all students are focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on student's progress and development Putting into practise individual Educational, Social, Behavioural and Personal Care Plans Attending to student's physical, mental and emotional needs Requirements Previous experience within an educational setting supporting students with SEN Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification Experience with SLD, MLD and SEMH Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with U-educate if you have not got a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months) I am very keen to speak with candidates who are interested in this role and feel that they meet the requirements stated above.
