Our client is a reputable home care provider with a strong national presence who is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their ever-growing finance team. The successful applicant will have previous management accounting experience and will provide insightful and timely financial analysis to facilitate effective decision-making, contributing to the financial health of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsibility for the review of monthly management accounts for designated regions covering KPI, variance analysis and commentary in accordance with the agreed corporate timetable for senior management review.
2. Collaborate with teams across finance, payroll and ledgers to ensure accurate transaction recording & monitoring.
3. Present draft and final results to department heads, interpret and explain key variances.
4. Act as the finance department contact for designated regions/companies; providing them with financial assistance and ad hoc analysis where necessary.
5. Responsible for the compilation of the annual budget in conjunction with the department heads and finance business partners.
6. Preparation of periodic revenue and expenditure forecasts, variance analysis and commentary in accordance with the agreed corporate timetable for senior management review.
7. Interpret and discuss the forecast results with department heads and any risks or opportunities that may impact future financial performance.
8. Contribute to the wider team during month end, forecast and budgeting to provide timely and accurate reports and analysis for senior management.
9. Provide various ad-hoc analysis as required within finance by finance business partners, Head of FP&A and CFO.
Requirements:
1. Part or fully qualified Accountant
2. Previous management accounting experience, particularly in interpreting and presenting results to financial and non-financial individuals.
3. Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
4. Experience analysing large data sets
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in Vlookups, pivot tables, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
