Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEMH Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Brightlingsea Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and Looked After Children (LAC) backgrounds Create engaging and effective lesson plans to meet individual student needs Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Specialist knowledge in English and Maths curriculum for Key Stage 3 Experience working with students with SEMH and LAC backgrounds Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar setting Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of SEMH and LAC needs in educational settings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs Organisational skills to maintain accurate records and reports Preferred Qualifications: Training in behaviour management techniques Working Conditions: This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tutoring support to students with specific needs. The work will be conducted in learners homes or community spaces in Brightlingsea, Essex, and will require collaboration with school staff and parents.
