Managing Quantity Surveyor required by independent, multi-disciplinary Civil Engineering contractor. Our client, with a turnover in excess of £80million, delivers civil engineering contracts across South West, with values typically between £3 million - £8 million. This specific role will be working on the Wessex Water AMP 8 framework.
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will:
* Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance and finance targets.
* Take control of change management.
* Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.
* Be responsible for developing a busy commercial team, supporting all members with their own development and progression.
* Responsible for all pre and post contract duties.
* Draft and negotiate NEC forms of contract.
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
Our client requires a Managing Quantity Surveyor with:
* Previous experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor
* Strong commercial awareness and acumen.
* Knowledge of NEC form of contracts.
* Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
Salary/Benefits:
* Up to £85,000 per annum
