We are seeking to recruit a Senior Legal Practice and Risk Compliance Officer, could it be you? As part of the newly formed Practice and Compliance Group within the Law and Governance Service, the Legal Practice and Risk Compliance will work directly with the Head of Legal Practice and Compliance to develop the service offering of this small central team, which provides legal financial and clerical administration, corporate data protection and risk management functions. The post holder will be a multi-tasker, able to pivot between managing day to day functions and business improvement projects. They must be able to take full responsibilities for their own work and offer direction to the legal practice paralegals. The successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time supporting the corporate risk function, acting as a communication channel to/from the Executive Management Team and risk representatives from their directorates. You ll need to feel comfortable interacting at all levels of an organisation and able to build sound networks between teams, for example the Emergency Planning and Health and Safety Teams. You will need to be an excellent administrator and able to balance daily tasks with leading projects across the Law and Governance service and the wider organisation. You ll be a confident presenter, able to communicate clear messages in plain language both in writing and verbally. You ll need to love working with systems such as case management systems and confident in IT packages. Common sense, a can-do attitude, ability to work to tight timescales/deadlines and above all the willingness to be flexible in tasks as this new role takes shape. This post is full time and classified as a flexible worker. The requirements is at least 3 days office attendance a week, although during the probationary period to support learning and assisting the post holder to excel in the role office attendance will be up to 5 days per week.
