As a Management Accountant you'll be involved in delivering exceptional, innovative services that reinvest in the NHS, enabling clinical partners to focus on what matters most: providing outstanding patient care and improving health outcomes.
Job Description
The successful individual will lead and be responsible for the provision of an expert financial management service to the business and will undertake responsibilities including but not limited to:
* Taking the lead and responsibility for the monthly reporting for nominated areas, including the production of high quality information, cost and income analysis, forecasting and the presentation of this information.
* Support the Heads of Service & Service Managers in the discharge of their financial responsibilities; including maintaining a balanced budgetary position, development and reporting of the cost improvement programme (CIP) and the financial modelling of service developments.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the Company's medium to long term financial strategy.
Upcoming projects:
* Lead the charge in implementing a cutting-edge asset management system, strengthening controls and setting a new standard for efficiency.
* Be a key player in overhauling financial reporting, enhancing management accounts, departmental reporting, and numerous other areas currently under development.
* Take a leading role in a top-priority Business Efficiency Plan, challenging the status quo and directly influencing the organisation's success.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following experience:
Finance Expertise: CCAB qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with post-qualification experience in management accounting within a large organisation.
Financial Management Skills: Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, performance management, costing, and cost improvement programs.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in computerised financial ledger systems.
Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills (written and oral).
Business Acumen: Sound business knowledge and awareness of company development and associated financial changes.
