Job Description:
The Senior Officer, Marketing and Digital Content, under supervision of the Principal, will take ownership of marketing initiatives for the Annual Meeting (AM), building and maintaining a network of relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including sponsors and media partners in the Host country where the AM takes place. The Senior Officer will take charge of producing captivating marketing materials; coordinate the AM social media campaign; design, set up and maintain the AM website and the MyEBRD mobile application, to include:
* Proactively design and implement marketing initiatives to raise awareness and visibility of the AM.
* Promote the event and assist in the cost recovery efforts by encouraging paying business guests to register and attend, by emphasising the value and benefits of participation.
* Promote the AM destination by showcasing its cultural and economic opportunities.
* Create visually compelling print and digital marketing collateral for the AM whilst strictly adhering to corporate brand guidelines.
* Design the AM website and the MyEBRD mobile app. Set them up on the relevant platform and manage all content and updates.
* Oversee the consistency and quality of content on all marketing channels. Be the focal point for distribution of assets when other teams and the Host request them.
* Design effective and attractive newsletters, web banners, social media posts, press adverts and other marketing materials for AM invitees.
* Research and produce attractive copy and coordinate input and sign off with all stakeholders both internally (Communications Department, Event Management, Health & Safety, Transport, etc) and externally (Media partners, sponsors and others).
* Troubleshoot and maintain close cooperation with the outsourced supplier to resolve any AM web and mobile app-related issues.
* Propose and coordinate the social media marketing campaign to promote the event and AM sponsors.
* Review the artwork for sponsors and institutional stands and liaise with them when needed.
* Monitor and evaluate the success of our marketing channels using tools such as Google Analytics, and take appropriate actions based on feedback.
* Create, coordinate content and set up the AM general satisfaction survey in the system.
* Generate a comprehensive final report with statistical analysis of marketing efforts.
* Analyse the website traffic sources, find ways to optimize email tracking, strengthen SEO practices, and continue leveraging media partnerships and social media engagement to drive website traffic in future marketing campaigns.
During the Annual Meeting, the Senior Officer, Marketing and Digital Content will:
* Manage 2 support staff.
* Manage the MyEBRD information stand to troubleshoot and manage all mobile app queries for AM participants at all levels.
* Ensure all app notifications are promptly sent out to keep AM participants informed of updates and important information.
* Update all changes for speakers and sessions on the AM website and MyEBRD.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Strong writing skills; experience in writing impactful content for the public and of altering tone for audience and platform (web, social media, publications).
* Proven experience in web design.
* Relevant experience, preferably from a graphic design, marketing or digital communications field.
* True understanding of what makes exciting, inspiring marketing content.
* Knowledge of producing high-end digital content and online marketing campaigns.
* Computer literate: excellent knowledge of design programmes such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro), Microsoft Office including PowerPoint; knowledge of Google Analytics preferable.
* Working knowledge of Cvent, HTML and/or Content Management Systems would be an advantage.
* Understanding and knowledge of corporate communications and graphic design.
* Proven experience demonstrating adherence to brand compliance.
* Comfortable multi-tasking with an ability to prioritise.
* Fluent in English with the ability to write clearly and attractively for both marketing and institutional reporting purposes.
* Autonomy - experience of working independently and scheduling own work.
* Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, to remain accurate and attentive to detail in such situations.
* Proven experience of working in a comparable role on a large international event and/or organisation.
* Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective, persuasive and diplomatic communications skills (especially in writing).
* Results-oriented, self-motivated individual able to set goals and priorities with a good sense of time management and ability to re-organise workload when confronted with changing priorities.
