Overview:
We are recruiting conscientious and proactive professionals to join our growing operations team, based at new offices in the North West of England. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop their career at a new, open and innovative firm at the forefront of criminal defence law.
Successful applicants will play an important role in our firm’s business and operations functions, including optimising client care and communication, supporting good record-keeping and documentation, and providing assistance to solicitors and other members of our legal team. New members of staff will benefit from support and guidance from our established legal and operations teams, as well as an ongoing programme of training and development.

PCD Solicitors are a nationwide criminal defence firm, specialising in defending and appealing false allegations of sexual crimes. Founded in 2020, we have been recognised as one of the leading specialist criminal defence firms in England and Wales, advising clients on some of the most complex and serious criminal cases.
Responsibilities:
* Clerical: Managing and directing calls, emails and correspondence from prospective clients, barristers, and others;
* Administrative: Recording sensitive data including client files and legal documents, filing and issuing invoices and fee notices, managing diaries and appointments, and minuting meetings and conferences;
* Operational: Supporting solicitors with their general needs, requests and requirements.
Qualifications
* Minimum of five GCSEs at grade four or higher, including English and Maths
* Diploma or other award in business administration or law is desirable, but not essential
Skills & Experience
Essential :
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Experience in client-facing roles, including business administration, retail, or hospitality;
* Conscientious approach to collaboration, problem solving, and working to deadlines;
* A discreet, patient and conciliatory attitude to client care, sensitive data and professional relationships;
* Familiarity with basic IT systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc).
Desirable :
* Proficiency in LEAP, and/ or other legal case management systems;
* Experience of invoicing, record-keeping, and other administrative and clerical tasks in a legal or other professional environment.
