Position Summary:
As a Front Office Receptionist/Attendance staff member at Ascent Classical Academy, you are a vital part of the school's commitment to excellence in classical education. This role supports the Academy's mission by ensuring a welcoming, organized, and efficient front office environment, which upholds the values of courtesy, respect, and integrity. This position is integral to both daily administrative operations and the overall school experience for students, families, and visitors.
Essential Functions:
Front-of-House Reception
* Manage all incoming telephone calls to the main line; screen and route calls as appropriate
* Respond to inquiries and provide student attendance and other relevant information to personnel, parents, and outside agencies
* Assist students, staff, and visitors in the front office, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience
* Conduct regular security checks on all individuals entering the building to ensure safety
Attendance Support
* Support daily attendance activities and update attendance data for required reporting
* Process and verify student absence information from parents, teachers, and other sources
* Issue admittance forms to students who are late or returning after an absence
* Perform a variety of clerical duties and record-keeping activities at the assigned school site
* Refer questions or concerns regarding school attendance to the Attendance Clerk as needed
* Oversee and manage incoming volunteer program for the school
* Assist communications department with front office incoming and outgoing emails

Position Requirements:
* Associates degree or equivalent preferred
* Proven experience in a front office or reception role, preferably in an educational setting
* Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Professional appearance and speech
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
* Proficiency in English, written & oral
* Commitment to the policies, mission, and vision of Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools of Colorado
* Commitment to high moral character necessary to sustain ordered liberty and constitutional self-government
* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively articulate information and issues
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with superior organization and computer skills
* Ability to develop positive and professional relationships with team members
* Ability to provide excellent customer service and always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
* Willingness to perform other duties as requested
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
* Must be able to traverse the classroom and the school
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, or standing
* Must be able to supervise outdoor activities if needed
