Support Worker, Farnham
Full and Part-Time Roles Available
£12.33 per hour
Five gentlemen who Dimensions support at their home in Farnham would like a new Support Worker to join the team who enable them to live an independent life.
The gentlemen, aged in their teens to 50s, are autistic and have learning disabilities. They are an outgoing group and would be happy to meet a full-time Support Worker who would like to get involved in activities such as:
* Planning (and going on) holidays
* Visiting museums and other places of interest
* Going to Prince’s Hall and G Live for concerts
* Helping out, or joining in, when the sports coach comes once a fortnight for workouts
* Drinks, meals, and pub lunches in Farnham
Family is important to these gentlemen, and they often have visits at home. We also assist two of the gentlemen in visiting family regularly.
The gentlemen want you to know that not all of them use words to communicate, but they have other ways of expressing their needs. If you have not communicated in this way before, don’t worry. Dimensions provides all Support Workers with full training.
The role will involve a mixture of early (7:30 AM - 3:00 PM) and late (2:30 PM - 10:00 PM) shifts, and Support Workers will need to do one sleep-in shift a week. Dimensions offers a pay rate of £12.33 per hour for this role (sleep-in shifts are paid at an allowance of £50 per shift).
Support Workers may also have to assist with finances, meal preparation, and prompt and assist the gentlemen with their personal care.

* A £200 bonus if you refer a friend who is successfully employed
