Administrative Officer – Pre-sessional Lifecycle & Learning Opportunities
We are seeking a highly motivated colleague to join the Pre-sessional Lifecycle & Learning Opportunities Team. We are a collegiate and friendly team responsible for the administrative support of the University’s pre-sessional courses; Lifelong Learning; Southampton Language Opportunities and English for Academic Purposes. You will need to be a team player, as this is essential to us and the success of all the programmes we deliver.
We are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge while striving for excellent customer service. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment. During our peak periods, we ensure the smooth student journey from admissions to results for approximately 2,000 international students who choose to complete a pre-sessional course with us.
You will have:
1. Proven experience of working in an administrative role;
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
3. Up-to-date MS Office skills, with a high level of Excel knowledge;
4. The ability to independently organise your own workload;
5. The ability to proactively contribute to process, system, and service improvements;
6. Effective relationship-building skills with a variety of stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role, with at least two days spent at our Avenue Campus per week. Applications will be considered for a job share.
