Sussex CAMHS is at the beginning of a crucial and innovative expansion, which will see a substantial amount of growth in a variety of teams across East & West Sussex.
We are seeking to recruit to a newly developed Neurodevelopmental Specialist Grade post to work on the Sussex-wide Neurodevelopment pathway across Sussex CAMHS.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in prioritising the delivery of a safe, effective and caring service to children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
You will provide high quality specialist clinical assessments and work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriate treatment plans.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 12 years post qualification experience with significant experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
* Full Registration with the GMC
* High level knowledge and experience of the theory and practice related to Neurodevelopment disorders
* Experience of working with children and young people with Neurodevelopment disorder

Qualifications
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
ELIGIBILITY
* Twelve years medical work should have been completed since obtaining a primary medical qualification.
* A minimum of six years' service in the Registrar, Specialist Registrar, or Specialty Registrar grade.
* Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 6 months of appointment.
CLINICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
* Excellent knowledge in specialty
* Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
