Site Services Officer (SSO) - Olympic Primary
40 hours per week (7am - 11am, 2pm - 6pm Monday to Friday)
Grade F points 6 to 7 ( FTE £23,893.00 - £24,294.00)
The Lion Academy Trust consists of four schools in the Wellingborough Hub: Warwick Academy, Ruskin Academy, Ruskin Infant & Nursery, and Olympic Primary Academy. We are looking for a diligent and enthusiastic person to join our Site Services Team to work at Olympic Primary NN8 3QA.
The role of the Site Services Officer is to support the Operations Manager, Parent Advisory Board, and Head of School to ensure the internal and external areas of the premises are clean, well-maintained, secure, and that janitorial tasks are carried out with the appropriate resources and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Your core duties will include:
* Site Security
* Energy Management
* Grounds & Site Maintenance
* Environmental Management
* Line managing a small team of Cleaning operatives
Candidates should be able to undertake a range of minor DIY and maintenance jobs, ensure the grounds and premises are kept clean and tidy, support cleaning teams, porterage, and may be required to oversee works carried out on site by external contractors.
As a part of our Site Services Team, you will be a happy, obliging character and be flexible and adaptable with your approach to the role. You must have a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. You will need to have great communication skills, be detail-focused and diligent, taking pride in completing tasks to the best of your ability, and be solution-focused while adhering to the Trust’s policies and procedures.
This position is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Annual holiday entitlement is 26 days per year, rising to 31 days per year after 5 years of service. During school term times, Site Supervisors are required to work a split shift to accommodate school opening and closing times, with hours of work during term time being 7am-11am and 2pm-6pm. However, during school holidays, daily hours can generally be completed in one shift, typically from 8am - 4pm.
