We at Lotus Home Care are looking for an experienced manager within the Children’s and Young People sector to support the opening of our new branch in Darlington. Lotus Home Care has been established within the West Yorkshire area for a number of years and are now expanding into the North East Area. We are looking for a manager with experience in managing Children and Young People’s care needs in their own home, providing tailored support with a person-centred approach.
Branch (Registered Manager within Domiciliary children’s care)
* £35,000.00 to £40,000.00 per year
* Full-time role - 40 hours a week

The successful candidate will:
* Lead, direct, supervise, and support employees working within the branch to provide services that respond flexibly to the needs of clients.
* Appoint employees at all levels below that of Manager, including advertising, taking references, conducting interviews, completing health checks, and applying for DBS checks.
* Provide induction training, information, and supervision to employees, ensuring they are conversant with their duties, rights, and responsibilities.
* Promote good communication through employee meetings, written and verbal reports, and encourage openness at all levels.
* Monitor employee duties and performance, ensuring probationary periods are managed appropriately and dealing with disciplinary matters.
* Ensure the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical, and material needs of clients are recognised, assessed, and met, involving regular planned reviews and formulation of care plans in liaison with other professionals.
* Consult clients regularly as part of the branch Quality Assurance system.
* Oversee adherence to Health & Safety regulations in the branch and clients' homes.
* Ensure mandatory training requirements are met and check the training matrix to ensure all staff are trained.
* Ensure rotas are covered in advance where possible and that all care calls are made according to client and carer rotas.
Our ideal candidate will:
* Be an experienced business manager with experience in managing people and teams.
* Have a Level 5 in Health and Social Care NVQ.
* Be able to work every other weekend on call and backup where required.
* Have a clean driving licence with their own transport.
* Have compassion, enjoy supporting others, and be a team player.
