Come and join a fantastic team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics and others who serve a diverse group of patients. We are looking to appoint a salaried GP in our Purfleet Care Centre in Thurrock. Purfleet Care Centre is situated around 30 mins from Southend and with great train links to London Lakeside being only 10 mins away!
We are a dynamic, forward-thinking practice that delivers excellent health care to our patients. You will be joining a large team where you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of a dedicated admin support team, specialised nurses, as well as highly skilled healthcare assistants. Providing care to patients and their families to a high standard, sharing best practice and always looking to actively improve the way we work and deliver health care.
As a General Practitioner, you will need to be approachable and a source of knowledge for your colleagues, making conscientious decisions in relation to challenges presented to you or from other health care colleagues – over 6 to 10 sessions per week.
Main Responsibilities
As a General Practitioner, you will provide:
1. General GP cover
2. Home visits
3. Delivering a high-quality service and driving service improvement and innovation with support from wider HCRG Care Group colleagues.
GP Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the highest clinical standards and practices in accordance with accepted good medical practice and service standards.
2. Promote the health and well-being of all medical and clinical staff within the practice.
3. Keep up to date with advances in medicine and practices in line with national and local guidance.
4. Provide clinical advice and guidance to all practitioners caring for patients.
5. Ensure adequate and appropriate supervision and mentoring for salaried GPs.
6. Ensure effective lines of communication with practice staff and patients.
7. Ensure that all registrations and revalidations are up to date.
8. Contribute to the personal and professional development review process for clinical staff.
9. Ensure that patient notes are fit for purpose, generated, and filed appropriately.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be GMC registered with a license to practice and have a strong clinical background working in Primary Care.
1. Full GMC Registration, MBChB or equivalent
2. UK permit or right to work in the UK
3. MRCGP
4. Commitment to professional development
5. Knowledge of the NHS
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
7. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
8. Good organizational and time management skills
