Job Title Contracts Manager Reporting to Operations Director Depot Podington, Northamptonshire THE ROLE You will oversee the planning and co-ordination of our schemes and be the main escalation point for the client/operatives and management. You will be responsible for the organisation of works whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and welfare of operatives. Supporting the successful completion of works within agreed timescales, budgets, and standards. You will be primarily based in the Podington depot with national travel requirements dependant on the location of our schemes. A typical week might involve Working as part of an operations management team, coordinating the day to day organising of the regions resource. Taking ownership of Contracts and planning the safe delivery of the scheme Providing support to the Supervisors & Operatives and assisting them in their delivery of schemes. Reviewing site record, compiling progress reports and preparing the information for the Commercial & Financial teams. Attending client meetings. Flagging up additional works with the client and raising Early Warnings/ preparing the information for the Commercial team Writing RAMS and preparing Health & Safety documentation. Ensuring the H&S procedures within the RAMS are then implemented on site. Assisting the buying department with carrying out take-offs for materials, placing orders and organising deliveries to sites. Document control. Comparing latest revision drawings against the tender documents and submitting the change in works information to the commercial team. Briefing Toolbox Talks and carrying out Site Safety Audits. Line Manager duties: Appraisals, Pay Reviews, Confidential Discussions, Team development, Disciplinaries, Interviews. As a rapidly growing business, no two days are ever the same so what you do will vary. The nature of our business and the pace of contracting also means that priorities do change so you will need to be comfortable with this. About you Great at prioritising effectively, and able to deal with multiple responsibilities and deadlines. Experienced in either Civils, Street Lighting or Traffic Sign Contract Management. A strong communicator and able to build strong relationships with people at all levels. Details orientated and able to identify improvements needed. Great at managing your time effectively.
