Our client is a leader in delivering bespoke solutions for lifting and handling equipment in power plants. We're seeking talented individuals to join their team at Hinkley Point C, where you'll be working with cutting-edge technology in the nuclear sector.
About our client
They are a global pioneer in the design and maintenance of high-safety handling equipment for nuclear power plants. As a key contributor to the Hinkley Point C project, they are responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining the Polar Cranes—massive, rotating cranes vital to reactor building operations.
Your Role
As a Crane Specialist, you will play an integral part in the success of this landmark project by:
• Supervising the installation of Polar Cranes
• Participating in the commissioning process to ensure optimal performance
• Providing preventive and corrective maintenance, always ensuring reliability and safety
• Adhering to rigorous Quality, Safety, and Security protocols in a nuclear environment
What We're Looking For: Key Skills & Experience
• Education: Degree in Electrotechnics and/or Automation Systems
• Experience:
o 3-5 years of on-site experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems, ideally with cranes or heavy handling equipment
o Prior experience at Hinkley Point C as a Cable Installation Chargehand (Blue Hat) is a bonus!
• Technical Know-How: Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex electromechanical issues, with a focus on safety and precision.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Site based position.
