Senior M&E Planner to support major upcoming projects in the West of Ireland.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Planner (M&E), you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical elements of complex construction projects. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring detailed project schedules, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that planning aligns with client and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage detailed M&E programmes using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
* Monitor project progress against key milestones and deadlines, advising the project team of any risks or delays
* Integrate M&E plans with overall construction programmes
* Interface with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate and communicate planning strategies
* Conduct regular progress reviews and generate planning reports and dashboards
* Evaluate subcontractor schedules and incorporate them into the master schedule
* Support in delay analysis and forensic planning when required
* Assist in resource planning and cost-loading of programmes where applicable
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
* Minimum 6–8 years of experience in project planning with strong focus on M&E systems
* Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
* In-depth understanding of MEP installations within commercial, pharmaceutical, data centre, or industrial sectors
* Solid understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic project team
Desirable:
* Experience working in Irish or UK construction environments
* Familiarity with BIM integration and modern construction technologies
* Previous work on large-scale industrial or cleanroom projects
