Find your future with Otter Vets - consider leading our Farm Department!
We are looking for a Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Otter Vets.
In addition to the daily clinical casework, there are many opportunities to develop the farm work, create business/team strategies, plan local events, mentor junior colleagues, and more. We would be happy to discuss your ideas and interests; this is a great opportunity for career progression.
If your preference is mixed work, we would still really like to hear from you as we have flexibility to consider these roles. We are also happy to discuss part-time hours and look at a rota to suit you.
Flexible shifts that work for you:
1. Typically, our full-time Vets work 4 days per week, one night a week, and 1:4 weekends on-call.
2. Overnight, our small animal duties have been outsourced to a local Veterinary Hospital, so all calls we receive after 6pm are large animal calls.
We are excited to offer a shift pattern that fits around you - we are happy to discuss, and finding the perfect work/life balance is very important to us.
Our Practice takes great pride in its established history of over 70 years and providing veterinary care to the local communities. We have two branches, one based in the Jurassic coastal town of Sidmouth and the other in the nearby market town of Ottery St Mary, Devon.
We are proud of the 24-hour service we offer for all our large animal veterinary work. Currently, plans are being worked on to reorganize our two premises which will facilitate further growth and development. There are opportunities to develop your career, from further training or responsibilities to mentoring other team members. We are keen to support team progression and would love to discuss your interests and career plans further. It's an exciting time to join Otter Vets!
