Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in East Renfrewshire, is currently looking to recruit a HR Case Advisor for a 12 week contract on a rate of £22.25/hour (PAYE). The working hours for this role will be 24 hours per week and this role will be hybrid with 2 days in the office.

Responsibilities:
- Manage cases and coordinate the case management process, taking ownership for own workload and looking for possibilities to resolve matters informally, where appropriate.
- Provide consistent, responsive, and solutions focussed advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of case management processes and policies.
- Attend capability, disciplinary, grievances, bullying & harassment, absence management hearings as required, including preparation and support with all written correspondence.
- Sound technical employment law expertise, be solutions focused and be confident in managing often sensitive situations.
- Mitigate the risk of formal tribunal claims through ensuring all support provided is legally compliant and in line with policy.
- Exercise good judgement, and work in a professional, respectful and commercial manner with colleagues and customers.
- Build positive relationships with the relevant trade unions through attendance at case management meetings.
- To support absence management cases liaising with occupational health, and supporting managers at formal stages of the process.
- Take part in case consistency sessions with your team, and provide feedback on policy and process improvement topics.
- Facilitate line manager coaching sessions on case management topics.
- Keep the HR system up to date with all case information in real-time so that case statistics can be produced and analysed, ensuring all documents and information are handled in line with GDPR.
Essential Skills:
- Considerable experience of managing a range of HR cases including complex and high risk.
- Experience of providing case management support by phone, email and face to face.
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation in Case Management practice.
- Demonstrate positive trade union partnership working.
- Ability to interpret and explain HR policies & procedures.
- Ability to undertake statistical analysis.
- Able to coach managers through complex case management processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Compassionate, helpful and shows respect towards others.
- Trusted to be honest, reliable and act responsibly in everything you do.
- Ambitious approach towards accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work in a flexible way to support the team and the workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enjoys working as part of a team and with customers.
Desirable Skills:
- HR qualification (Degree or Post-graduate Diploma).
- Chartered membership of CIPD.
