An exciting opportunity has become available for one of the largest global manufacturer of construction, mining and other engineering equipment. The position is a 3 year contract with a view to go permanent for the right candidate. The position is paying £26.49 an hour (PAYE) or £35.88 an hour (Umbrella). Working 37.5 hours a week, a typical week is Monday to Thursday 07:00am to 16:00pm and Friday 07:00am to 10:30am.
What you will do
As a Traffic & Customs Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Develop and maintain process documentation and manage Customs record-keeping.
Ensure duty management systems meet HMRC requirements and submissions are correct.
Oversee daily compliance activities of brokers and freight forwarders.
Coordinate with freight companies, production departments, and customers for timely deliveries.
Validate and oversee freight invoicing and payments.
Collaborate with shipping operational teams to help manage and achieve quality & velocity targets.
Ensure availability of shipping capacity and capability in line with expected demand.What you can demonstrate:

Import/Export - MFG: Manages import and export processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and tariff schedules. Handles customs clearance and completes necessary documentation for frequent shipments.
Transportation - MFG: Explains transportation measurements, costs, and modes, and describes shipping documents. Participates in supply chain analysis to identify trends and improvements.Potentially up to 5% UK and international travel will be required for this role.
