As an Events Coordinator, you will work within Business Support to manage and align streams of work for channels, ensuring we always serve customers, communities and the planet a little better everyday.
You will support the events manager in the delivery of all event elements – including planning, logistics, budget and control onsite delivery of events and be agile in your approach, working across different areas of our business planning and Business Support operations to ensure plans are aligned in support of the Service Delivery Model and our strategic goals/drivers.
You will be responsible for
* Collaborating across the business and with supplier partners to deliver excellent and engaging Channels led events.
* Working on multiple events concurrently, taking ownership of elements of each event including both on and off site events (some UK wide travel and overnight stays may be required for events)
* Creating and building excellent communications to delegates to ensure they are clear on location, venue and timing arrangements.
* Researching and booking suitable venues/meeting rooms/event space confirming space and AV requirements.
* Keeping track of event spend and Raising POs In a timely manner to ensure suppliers are paid appropriately.
* Working alongside key stakeholders and presenters to shape engaging agendas and flow for each event and make the necessary arrangements to facilitate any accompanying requirements or additional space.
* Developing strong and practical working relationships with external suppliers to ensure the smooth running at every level and ensure prompt payments for any associated requirements.
* Supporting and engaging the Channels leadership team to enable Zoom Call and content to get it right first time for channel colleagues.
* Creating and reviewing each event thoroughly to gather feedback to improve future events.
* Tracking event milestones and deliverables, identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies.
* Responding flexibly and effectively in a timely manner to changing priorities; adapting and adjusting plans as required.
* Contributing to make my team a great place to work (e.g. supporting activities like team days or team meetings).
* Regularly visit stores, CFC’s & distribution centres to understand the reality on the ground and how our work is landing to support colleagues.
