UX Designer – Hybrid (Glasgow, 3x a week)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Are you excited by the opportunity to design and build a website from the ground up? Our Glasgow-based client is looking for a creative and user-focused UX Designer to take the lead in crafting a brand-new digital platform.
What You’ll Do:
As a UX Designer, you’ll play a key role in redesigning a website from the ground up, crafting an exceptional user experience, and working closely with cross-functional teams. Here’s what the role involves:
* User Research: Conduct user interviews, usability tests, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
* Design Development: Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs for both web and mobile platforms.
* Information Architecture: Develop user flows, sitemaps, and navigation structures to optimise the user journey and ensure intuitive navigation.
* Collaboration: Work with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align designs with the company’s goals.
* Accessibility: Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards for an inclusive experience.
* Optimisation: Continuously refine designs based on performance metrics and user feedback.
What You’ll Bring:
* UX design experience, particularly in website, e-commerce, or other digital platforms.
* A strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design projects.
* Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
* A solid understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and responsive web design.
* Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
* Excellent communication skills to present and explain design concepts.
* Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus.
* Experience working within Agile teams.
