This role is working for a northern charity supporting people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to go beyond expectations. We believe that, wherever they are, everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support, advice and training enables people and their families to build skills, develop confidence, help each other and look forward to a more positive future.
Position:
We're on the lookout for someone with great resilience to become a valuable part of our team. The successful candidate will be supporting our wonderful students during the night; this may include providing medications, supporting personal care where needed, or just making them feel comfortable.
As part of the Residential Student Support Team, you will be vital in helping our students to get the most out of living away from home in a safe and supportive environment. You will also be responsible for carrying out any checks required for individual students in a professional and timely fashion throughout the night. It is vital that you accurately record and report students' needs and progress throughout the night.
We know that working in care can bring unsociable hours and regular changing rotas, so we offer our staff a fixed rota! This allows our staff to fit work around life and not life around work.
Requirements:
* Willingness to assist students with any personal care requirements as needed
* Knowledge of care work and what this will involve, including understanding dignity and respect
* Hold Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to complete diploma in Health & Social Care within 2 years of employment
