Are you a Manufacturing or Senior Production Team Leader looking for a new opportunity? Bensons for Beds is looking for a new Senior Production Team Leader to join our Manufacturing team in Huntingdon. Working on a Full-time basis, you will join a thriving manufacturing team, providing the highest of standards to the team and business, whilst also supporting the wider team with your expertise and support. Ensuring day to day production is managed in a given area. To provide line management to the team, co-ordinating workloads and resources whilst providing support to ensure the requirements of the operation are met. As this is a leadership role, you will be accountable for driving a positive culture in all areas, including safety. You will also Develop, motivate and support the team to ensure all key metrics in relation to safety, quality standards and production are met Exemplifies the company’s values and behaviours Demonstrates a positive and preventative safety culture, including legal and regulatory compliance Plans and coordinates resources effectively to ensure the most efficient workflow Tracks and monitors colleague performance, providing support where needed Assist Section managers in planning production workloads Manages and supports HR process for Production Operatives including but not limited to recruitment, holiday management, absence management (including the return to work), one to one meetings, annual review, disciplinaries, grievances, exit interviews, training plans, 9 box Manages colleague wellbeing in line with company guidelines and wellbeing initiatives Ensure workforce planning is in place covering colleague holidays and absence Ensure colleagues follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality standards Responsible for training of production operatives within their team highlighting and sharing best practice Responsible for daily management and support for the team Complete probationary reviews for all new starters highlighting concerns to Section Managers Organise repairs of damaged equipment putting in place contingency plans to avoid downtime The key responsibilities and accountabilities described must be carried out in a manner which promotes equality of opportunity, dignity and due respect for all employees and service users and is consistent with the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy. A successful should: Previous experience managing a team Previous manufacturing experience Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation Computer literate Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap A clear communicator with great people skills Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly What will you get?
