The Children’s Advanced Social Worker plays a crucial role in the welfare and development of children and their families within the community. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the best interests of children.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement, to support children and families.
Provide counseling and support services to children and their families, ensuring access to necessary resources.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of children and families, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
Advocate for the rights and welfare of children within the community and legal framework.
Train and mentor less experienced social workers and interns in best practices and case management techniques.
Requirements
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Current licensure as a social worker in the jurisdiction of practice.
At least five years of experience in child welfare or a related field.
Strong understanding of child development and trauma-informed care principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families and professionals.
Ability to manage a caseload effectively, including prioritizing urgent situations.
Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £33.58
