The Birtenshaw Group are looking to recruit a Support Worker to work within the Enrichment Service in Bolton.
Enrichment is a modern, dynamic day care service for disabled young adults that is open all year round. The Enrichment service is designed to assist disabled young adults to live ordinary lives, doing things they want to do. Each young adult that attends has a personalised plan built around hobbies, likes and interests.
The main duties of the role are as follows:
* To facilitate day to day activities for adults which are enriching, purposeful, enjoyable and provide opportunities for personal development and independence.
* To support participants to access activities.
* To support participants as required in their daily routines.
* To contribute to the maintenance of appropriate person-centred plans as directed by the Enrichment Team Manager.
* To ensure that all Health and Safety and Safeguarding policies including Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards are followed at all times.
* To contribute to assessments and transition for any new potential service user as directed by the Enrichment Leader.
Hours of Work: Your normal hours of work are 37.5 per week: 8.30 am until 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. You will also be required to attend a monthly team meeting which will take place once a month on an agreed day from 4.00 pm to approx. 5.30 pm.
