We are looking for an enthusiastic talented individual to assist in the running of a busy accounts office at an agricultural machinery dealership with three depots in Lincolnshire. Experience is preferred but not essential as training can be arranged; however, a knowledge of agriculture would be an advantage. This position would suit a young person who is looking to embark on a career in accounts.
The role is to assist the Finance Manager and Accountant in taking care of general administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing, maintaining accurate and detailed customer records, preparing and entering journals into the IBCOS accounts system, assisting with credit control, processing sales and purchase invoices.
For the more experienced assistant, further tasks will be to assist with completion of daily and monthly bank reconciliations, preparing and entering journals into the system, supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.
Computer literacy and a working knowledge of relevant applications such as spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and Word documents would be essential.
The ability to function well in a team environment is preferable with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and customers.
Salary would be commensurate with experience and qualifications with an approximate range between £18,000 and £30,000 per annum.
