A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join a small, dynamic team within a business just outside of Bury St Edmunds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone proficient in Sage, with experience preparing monthly management accounts, liaising with auditors, and handling day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately input financial transactions into the accounting system
Oversee credit control and manage customer invoicing
Handle stock control and ensure proper financial record-keeping, including invoices, receipts, and payments
Reconcile bank statements and address any discrepancies
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements
Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
Provide general administrative assistance as required
Required Skills and Experience
While formal qualifications are not essential, proven experience in accounting and strong communication skills are required. Ideally you will have a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and have good working knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Office.
