Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that all campuses are well-equipped to start the summer successfully. Working as part of a team, you will oversee the preparation and distribution of supplies to our pop-up summer campuses, with the support of a dedicated Warehouse Team.
Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the Logistics & Procurement Manager, managing the team to coordinate, pick and pack materials for delivery to various UK campuses. You will ensure all stock is accurately accounted for, delivered on time and that each site receives the necessary equipment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency and organisational skills.
As the backbone of our summer school operations, this role provides the essential setup that enables our campuses to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Summer Preparation
1. Complete Health & Safety Training before starting warehouse duties.
2. Work with the Logistics & Procurement Manager to determine requirements for each site and course, creating and maintaining accurate stock spreadsheets.
3. Update and manage stock records for storage units and oversee the maintenance of facilities and company vehicles.
4. Assist in planning stock deliveries to the staging area or directly to campuses.
5. Supervise a team of up to 5 staff members, ensuring all team members are trained and supported (Health & Safety/PPE).
6. Manage the packing process, ensuring each site’s materials are correctly prepared for deployment.
7. Coordinate the delivery schedule and sign-off process in collaboration with the Logistics & Procurement Manager.
8. Ensure the team operates efficiently, maintaining Health & Safety compliance at all times.
During Summer Operations
1. Troubleshoot logistical issues and coordinate additional deliveries if needed.
2. Oversee warehouse and storage facilities, ensuring vehicles and storage areas are maintained and issues are reported.
3. Ensure all Health & Safety regulations and legal compliance are met while managing day-to-day warehouse operations.
4. Coordinate the return of equipment to storage at the end of the summer.
5. Ensure that all returned materials are documented, counted, and catalogued for inventory records.
Person Specification
This job would suit someone who displays the following key attributes:
1. Comfortable working in warehouse environments and physically able to lift heavy loads.
2. A team player with the ability to supervise and support others.
3. Proficient in spreadsheet management and following detailed instructions.
4. Highly organised and methodical, with strong attention to accuracy and efficiency.
5. A problem-solver who can take initiative and work independently.
6. Health & Safety awareness, with the ability to implement workplace safety protocols.
7. Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Requirements
1. Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or stock management.
2. Experience working in event operations, hospitality, theatre production, or TV/film logistics.
3. Familiarity with inventory management systems and delivery coordination.
Position Details
1. Salary for this role is £31,500
2. Working hours will be 40 hours per week
3. Weekend and evening work will be required at times, particularly during the busy summer months
4. Mainly based at our storage facility north of Oxford / time at Head Office on occasions
5. Fixed term contract from April until September 2025.
